Mumbai NGO, top experts join hands to train students for civil services exams

17 AMU students qualify AIGE-2011

Mumbai: Shilpi Gupta of Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University has secured first rank in the Hydrogeologist category and second rank in the Geologist category of All India Geologists Examination 2011 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

Chairman, Department of Geology, Dr. Liaqat Ali Khan Rao said that Gupta figured among the seventeen students who had succeeded in cracking the prestigious All India Geologists Examination and subsequent personality test held in August-September 2012, an AMU official release said.

Besides Shilpi Gupta, Boopendra Kumar Sharma, Tanvi Gupta, Zameer Ahmad Shah, Shabana Anjum, Firdaus Ahmad Dar, Sabeeha, Ayoub Iqbal Khan, Tahir Mushta, Mohammad Asif, Abdurrahman, Santosh Kunal, Ranjeet Kumar Das, Ashmeer Mohammad, Shahid Iqbal, Nishant Kumar and Noufal K.N. have been selected under Geologist Category, said Dr. Rao in the statement.

 

Shilpi Gupta, Boopendra Kumar Sharma, Shabana Anjum, Ayoub Iqbal Khan, Tahir Mushta, Santosh Kunal and Ranjeet Kumar Das have qualified under Hydrogeologist Category.

Dr. Rao said the success of these students is a testimony to their hard work, dedication and guidance provided by the faculty members of the department.

 

He said the department will continue to provide the students with all help to enable them excel in their career.
