Thiruvananthapuram: The recently concluded Gitex Technology Week in Dubai turned out
to be a huge success for Kerala IT companies, according to state
government officials who attended it.
The five-day event ended Oct 18.
Technopark CEO Girish Babu confirmed that Kerala IT companies
could generate business leads with companies from America, Europe,
Africa and Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Codmax.com, based at Infopark here, also had its official launch
at the event.
The company focuses on innovative products and services in the
mobile and table PC market, and is set to launch a visionary
platform - CODMAX - which has evoked great interest in China, the
UK, Azerbaijan and Senegal, according to CODMAX chief Vivek Ganesh.
"Having attended Gitex 2012, our objective was to meet new
technology providers who can help in the upgradation of our
business. We found it a great platform and will be soon signing
partnerships with potential technology vendors," Mredul, founder
of the Infopark-based Queen Media, said.
The Kerala IT pavilion at the event this year was strategically
located, between the India, US and Chinese pavilions. The
visitors, thus, came in droves.
The Kerala IT team was also able to get a ministerial-level
delegation from United Kingdom to visit Kerala before the end of
the year to hold discussions and conduct a feasibility study on
possible investment opportunities here.
