Mumbai:
A powerful body of Urdu teachers' association Saturday requested the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) to reschedule the B.Ed. (Distance Mode) Entrance Test planned on February 26, 2017 citing that the test if held on the said date will clash with scholarship exams.

"On February 26, 2017 (Sunday) Middle School and High School (Std 5th & 8th)  Scholarship exams are being held all over Maharashtra", Sajid Nisar, General Secretary, Akhil Bhartiya Urdu Shikshak Sang, Maharashtra, said in a letter addressed to Directorate Of Distance Education, MANUU Hyderabad.

"As a vast majority of primary teachers who appear for the MANUU B.Ed. (Distance Mode) Entrance Test will be on duty to conduct the scholarship exams, it will create lot of problems for them.

"Hence Akhil Bhariya Urdu Shikshak Sang request you to consider this problem and postpone the Februray 26 B.Ed. Entrance to some other suitable date", Sajid Nisar said in his letter.

The MANUU B.Ed. (Distance Mode) Entrance Test was earlier scheduled to be held on February 19, 2017. The university however rescheduled it to February 26, 2017 at all 09 centres.

The university did not give any reason to reschedule the test.
