Rome: Saudi-based International Organization for Holy Qur'an Memorization (HQMI) and the Italian Association of the Holy Qur’an organized a competition in Italy that saw the participation of 125 contestants of both genders.
Holy Qur'an Memorization (HQMI) Secretary General Dr. Abdullah Basfar said that the competition included six categories, memorizing of the Qur’an in full, memorizing 15 chapters, ten chapters, five chapters, three chapters, and one chapter.
During the ceremony held on this occasion, speakers expressed their happiness to attend the competition, congratulating the winners and the participants, and wishing they would continue to abide by the morals and ethics of the Qur’an.
They also commended the efforts of the Muslim World League (MWL), which is HQMI’s parent organization, in the service of the Holy Qur’an.
They also expressed their gratitude to the government of Saudi Arabia, headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, for their concerted efforts to the Islamic Ummah across the world.
