In October this year during the 11th Osian’s Cinefan
– the film festival organized in New Delhi every year in association
with the state Government - Yeh Hai Malegaon Ka Superman was
screened four times – a privilege shared only by few films. Besides
the two screenings for the directors, producers and industry giants,
the film was specially screened for 300 students from 10 schools.
While the film was acclaimed by
the people like actor Rishi Kapoor, and
Directors Anurag Kashyab and Zoya Akhtar, the school
teachers found the film as a source of inspiration and motivation
for their students.
"Using
limited available resources, unfriendly locations and minimal
budget, the way this film has been produced is a lesson for our
students. Through this film we want to say to our students that if
they want to do something then they should not wait. They should
start using whatever resources are available with them."
