Bhopal:
The Bharatiya Janata Party ruled Madhya Pradesh Government
has raised the retirement age of doctors from 62 to 65 years. The
government has also decided to open mobile health hospitals soon in
35 tribal blocks of the state.
These decisions were taken at a high
level review meeting by the Minister for Health, Family Planning,
Ayush Anoop Mishra here on Friday. The review meeting was called to
ensure implementation on Manthan – 2009 recommendations in a time
bound manner, an official Press release said.
Presiding over the meeting, Anoop
Mishra instructed to implement on 30 recommendations reserved in the
first phase and ensure positive results by March 31 this year. It
may be mentioned that the recommendations of Manthan 2009 have been
divided in three parts.
The second phase of recommendations
are those which require amendments in Rules/Acts. There are 21 such
recommendations pertaining to Health Department. Mishra instructed
to immediately act on these recommendations and put forth in the
coming budget session of Vidhan Sabha.
Further discussing the Health Minister
said that vehicles will be provided in all the districts under
“Janani Express” Scheme. Vehicles of same design will be taken on
rent in cooperation with National Rural Health Mission. The Minister
instructed to built ramps for disabled in every hospital and allot
cleanliness work of hospitals to Sulabh International.
The Health Minister instructed to
include suggestions from people serving in medical field on national
level and from different walks of life to sketch out the health
policies. He also instructed the officers to ensure effective
implementation of provision of punishment in the act if the girl is
married before attaining the age of 18 years, the release added.
