Petroleum Price: Deora slams Opposition for 'misleading' people

Patna: JD(U) today slammed the Manmohan Singh government for the move to free the price of diesel from government control and wondered what type of reforms the Centre was carrying out.

"According to the PM, the economic reforms can't be halted at this stage... it implies that the increase in prices of petro products is a step in the direction of reforms..." JD(U) National Spokesperson Shivanand Tiwari said.

"But there is a question raised by the people... crying for an answer... what types of reforms the economist PM desires to implement in the wake of spiraling prices threatening to take its toll on the citizens?," he said.

"The people of the country will like to know from the economist PM the secrets of reforms being pursued," he said.
