Bhopal:
Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Ajay Singh
today said that the Centre should direct the BJP-led Madhya Pradeh
government to implement schemes for the welfare of minorities
without any discrimination.
Ajay Singh said that there were a number of things during the BJP
rule which showed that the state government was not interested in
the welfare of minorities.
He exemplified his point saying that it was announced in the
Assembly that the state government would not accept
recommendations of the Sachar Committee."If this was not the
violation of minority rights, then what is it," he said.
Singh said that the Centre had given its approval for the opening
of branches of the Aligarh Muslim University in West Bengal,
Kerala, Maharashtra, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
