embassy honours Dubai foundation

Dubai:
The British embassy in Dubai has honoured the Dubai Foundation for
Women and Children for providing counseling, protection and
support to women and children against violence.
Mandy Smith, vice consul at the embassy, felicitated Afra Al Basti,
chief executive officer of the foundation.
The two also discussed ways to further curb violence against women
and children in the region.
The foundation runs a number of community activities, including
lectures and workshops, to boost societal awareness about such
violence.
