United States in the world and BJP in India responsible for Terrorism: Sharad Pawar

PM accuses BJP of dividing people on communal lines

Malegaon: Indulging in hate campaign against Indian Muslims for years while taking political mileage out of the dirty propaganda about 'Jihadi Terrorism' , 'Muslim Terrorists' and targeting Islam and dragging the whole Muslim community for the ongoing terrorist activities in various parts of the world, BJP was irked when during the discussion on internal security Wednesday in Rajya Sabha (RS) Home Minister P. Chidambaram used the word 'Hindu Terrorists'.

Questioning Chidambaram's use of word 'Hindu Terrorist', BJP leader Ahluwalia said how could he generalize the entire community over an alleged act of few individuals.

“For act of few individuals, you cannot blame the entire community,” said SS Ahluwalia in the Rajya Sabha.

Ahluwalia was reacting to Chidmabram's statement in the upper house where he said, "The government maintains zero tolerance for terrorism inspired by religion, may it be Islam or may it be Hindu.”

Chidambram's statement came when he was talking on internal security and about the government approach towards terrorism caused by any group irrespective of their religious colour.

Chidambaram was immediately pointed out by BJP’s Prakash Javadekar and SS Ahluwalia and other BJP members for his repeated usage of the word of “Hindu terrorists” during his statement on internal security issue.

“When the investigation is on how could you say it would reveal the Hindu terrorists”, Javdekar asked Chidambaram over his Hindu terrorist remark.

Meanwhile, during the discussion the Home Minister also said that he would give utmost attention towards restoration of interrupted academic session, which has been affected by the separatists’ activities in Manipur.

On Naxal problem in the country, the Home Minister said, “Government will talk to any organization including ULFA if the abjure violence.”

Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram also said that the government’s anti terror campaign has proved to be highly successful and there has been significant reduction in the troops deployment in Jammu and Kashmir.

About Jammu and Kashmir, Chidambaram said the incidents of terrorism have been the lowest in Jammu and Kashmir in 2009. Besides, a significant amount of troop reduction has been done in J-K.
