New Delhi: The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India has started ONLINE ALLOTMENT PROCESS - COUNSELING from Wednesday June 13.
The online registration for All India Quota Under Graduate Medical / Dental Seats has also been started today and a detailed process with suitable graphics are available for the candidates who have passed National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2018 and are now seeking admission in first year MBBS, BDS and Para Medical courses.
Registration and choice filling of subjects for 1st Round has started from today i.e. Wednesday June 13, 2018. Last date of registration is June 18, till 05 pm.
Candidates may visit website www.mcc.nic.in for online registration.
According to the schedule announced by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), 1st Round seat allotments will be done on June 20 and 21, 2018. Results of CBSE NEET 2018 counselling Round 1 will be released on June 22, 2018.
Students will be required to report at their Medical/Dental colleges within seven days from June 23 to July 03, up to 5 pm.
Round 02 of counselling will be done from July 06 to July 08, 2018. Registration will remain open till 5 pm on the last date. Seat allotments for Round 02 will be done from July 10 to July 11, 2018. Results of Round 02 of CBSE NEET counselling will be declared on July 12, 2018.
Students will be required to report at the allotted Medical and Dental college for Round 02 from July 13 to July 22, 2018.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India will conduct the counselling for 15% All India Quota seats as it was done earlier. Candidates may visit website www.mcc.nic.in for further information regarding cut off marks, etc.
"For State quota and other seats falling under the ambit of States, candidates may apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned counselling authorities", CBSE said.
A total 7,12, 635 candidates have qualified from India whereas 342 qualified students are foreigners, 1200 Non Resident Indians (NRIs), 367 OCI and 36 PIO, the CBSE result sheet. NEET 2018 was held on May 06 while NEET 2018 result was declared on June 04.
In a statement issued after declaring the NEET 2018 results, the CBSE said, "The counselling would be conducted by the respective Counselling Authorities subject to prevailing rules and norms for admission in Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges under their ambit."
"Candidates are advised to be in touch with the respective Counselling Authorities and Institutions concerned for fu rther details", it added.
According to the CBSE, a total of 13,26,725 candidates from India and abroad had registered for NEET 2018. Of them, 5,80,648 were boys, 7,46,076 girls and 01 transgender. Among them were 13,23,672 Indians, 530 OCI, 1,842 NRIs, 60 PIO and 621 foreigners. NEET 2018 was held at 2,255 exam centres in 136 cities.
National Eligibility and Entrance Test or NEET is the one examination which would be considered for filling around 54,000 restorative seats the nation over. This examination is likewise valid for applying to private universities across the country.
