MHT CET 2019: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State is considering a proposal to scrap the MHT CET pen and paper based Mode exam and hold MHT CET 2019 onwards only in Online Mode.
In an official notification posted on its website, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State said MHT CET 2019 will be held in the 2nd and 3rd weeks of May. "The MHT CET 2019 in Online Mode will be conducted within 16 to 20 days at different centers", the Commissioner, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, said.
Conducted for admissions in first year of B.E/B.TECH and B.PHARM./ D.PHARM. courses and B. SC.(HONOURS) / B. TECH courses in Agriculture courses, MHT CET has so far been held only on a single day in pen and paper based.
If a decision is taken, then the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State will be in the list of examination authorities scarpping pen and paper based exams and opting Online Mode Computer based test.
The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State notification regarding MHT CET 2019 Online Mode of exam comes at the backdrop of National Testing Agency's decision to hold all competitive exams including JEE Main 2019 (for Engineering as well as Architect), UGC NET 2019 and others, only in Online Mode.
NEET 2019 - mandatory exam for admission to first year MBBS, BDS, BUMS, MHMS and other professional courses will be held in offline (pen and paper based) as well as in Online Mode.
JEE Advanced - entrance test for admission to IITs and other top engineering colleges is already being conducted only in Online Mode.
While announcing its decision to hold MHT CET 2019 only in Online Mode, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State has also asked students, parents and common citizens to submit objection to the proposal if any before November 15, 2018.
