Mumbai: At an event organised as part of 'Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence Summit 2018' at Bandra Kurla Complex' in Mumbai Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan showed to TV anchor Arnab Goswami why people call him "King of witty remarks".
Shah Rukh Khan and Arnab were both in attendance at the summit, when Arnab, in his usual style, decided to pick on a something SRK said about ‘profits’, according to storypick.com.
SRK was of the opinion that all media houses ought to collaborate more for creativity, as they’re all content creators first an not businessmen. He wished for the industry and audience alike to watch a movie first and then comment on it. Arnab Goswami however jumped on the chance of a little healthy debate, when SRK happened to mention the word ‘profit’ a couple of times while stating the above.
"You know Shah Rukh, you started by saying we're not businessmen, we are content creators. But, you've mentioned 'profit' three times in the last 5 minutes", Arnab said while some of those present burst into laughter. It was then that Shah Rukh reached for the microphone and his reply to Arnab’s pointed remark was pure class.
"Gurbat mein creativity nahi hoti. Main hamesha sabko kehta hu, 'First get rich, then become a philospher'", Shah Rukh said to a big round of applause, and it was one of those rare occasions when Arnab was at a split-second loss of words!
Shah Rukh Khan is known for his witty, sarcastic and cocky by turn and always seems to have a comeback ready for every occasion. On being asked how fatherhood has affected his acting career, SRK also known as "Badshah of Bollywood" said, "Yeah, I treat all my heroines like children now. I pick them up, I cuddle them, I call them BABY..."
At yet another occasion, he said, "I don't write cheques anymore because I end up signing them 'With Love, Shah Rukh'..."
